Did you know? A tighter string job will result in more control, but less power. A looser string job will result in more power, but less control. For people with tennis elbow, a looser racquet tension is recommend to allow the strings and frame to absorb more of the vibration and shock of the hit instead of the arm and elbow. Most pro players use what’s called a hybrid string job with durable strings in the main strings (running up and down) and a more playable string (like gut or thinner gauge nylon in the cross strings) running across the racquet.
